Castle Hill, SydneyCastle Hill is a suburb that didn’t seem to have a dining precinct outside its main shopping centre. Our client cleverly chose an old shop across the street to install a venue with the feeling of ‘something that has been there forever.’
The tenancy hosted a newsagency for over 40 years and had an old-school aluminium shopfront, patched timber floors, and fluoro sticks on the ceiling. We chose to keep it all and install a sleek and functional kitchen in the middle.
The only other interventions were hand-painted lettering on the glass and a wall that can change colours with the days of the week, following an old Thai tradition.
